Bolivar County Community Action Agency, Inc. Board of Directors announce the hiring of the agency’s executive director Adolph Hilliard.

Employed for 40 plus years, Hilliard is no stranger to the daily operations of the Bolivar County Head Start Program and was previously the fiscal grants officer and interim executive director since October 2009. He is a native of Oxford.

Hilliard has since the late ‘60s witnessed the implementation, development and growth of the community action agency and all of its programs — Head Start being the largest.

According to a press release, “Hilliard brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to the appointment as executive director. Under his leadership, Bolivar County Community Action Agency has embarked on new initiatives, improved the operations of old initiatives and has begun construction of its new Head Start Facility in Mound Bayou.

“Without a doubt, Mr. Hilliard will continue to build on the foundation of providing social services to the improvished in Bolivar County as well as uphold the mantra of ‘Helping People, Changing Lives’.”

“As the agency moves forward, we will continue to operate and improve programs that are successful and seek additional programs to better serve children and families in our service area.”
