Sanders-Pierce to wed

Mr. and Mrs. Robert Lee Sanders of Cleveland announce the engagement and forthcoming marriage of their daughter, Krystal Latrice, to Brandon Jerod Pierce, son of Tom Pierce and Debra Williams, both of Montgomery, Ala.

The bride-elect is the granddaughter of Claude Boddie Sr. of Cleveland and the late Emma Jean Boddie and the late Percy and Nancy Sanders of Shaw.

She is a 2004 honors graduate of Forest Hill High School, a 2008 cum laude graduate of Jackson State University, where she received a bachelor’s degree in business management and a master’s in technology education in 2010.

While in college, she was a member of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. Miss Sophomore, junior class vice president, Miss Senior, a member of Chi Alpha Epsilon Honor Society, Blue Key Honor Society, Student Leadership Institute, American Marketing Association and Epsilon Pi Tau Honor Society and was a Dean’s List Scholar for four consecutive years. She is a member of Pilgrim’s Rest Church in Cleveland. She is employed as an administrative assistant for enrollment at Tougaloo College.

The prospective groom is the grandson of the late Loyd McDaniel, the late Nancy Graham, the late Tom Pierce Sr. and the late Mary Pierce.

He is a 2004 graduate of Jefferson Davis High School in Montgomery, Ala. and Jackson State University, where he received a bachelor’s degree in business management in 2008. While in college, he was Mr. Baptist Student Union, freshman class senator and American Marketing Association vice president. He is a youth minister at Mt. Nebo M.B. Church in Jackson. He is a teller II at Bankplus in Madison.

The couple will exchange vows in a 3 p.m. ceremony on Saturday, September 4, 2010, at the Old Capital Inn in Jackson.
