The Board of Directors of Helping Hands wants to urge the citizens of Bolivar County to support the United Way of Cleveland/Bolivar County in the 2010 Campaign. The local United Way provides our agency support in our project of helping the needy in our county. Without
the funding we receive from United Way, we would not be able to provide financial assistance for utilities, housing, medication or food to those in emergency situations. In today’s economy we are finding that even more need our help.
We know that the Board of Directors of the United Way are good stewards of the monies donated to the agency. Every year each agency
supported by the United Way goes before the Fund Distribution Committee to provide detailed records of how the funds are spent.
Because of our close working relationship with the United Way we can confidently say to the public that money donated to the Campaign will be spent wisely and will benefit the people of Bolivar County who need a compassionate helping hand in times of need.
