Delta Aquatic Club will once again be hosting the State Long-Course Swimming Championships July 22nd-25th at the DSU Natatorium. Swimmers from all over the state have spent the last few months qualifying for the opportunity to swim against the fastest swimmers in Mississippi and a chance to earn the title ‘State Champion’. Over 300 swimmers and their families---at total of over 1,000 guests---will visit us over the four days of the Meet.
The Delta Aquatic Club invites you to come out and support the Ducks. The morning sessions (preliminaries) start at 8:30am each day, with the evening sessions (finals) beginning at approximately 5pm. Admission is free. Made up of swimmers from all over the Delta (Bolivar, Coahoma, Sunflower, Tunica, and Washington counties), we have an impressive group competing this year and they’d love, and deserve, to have your support as they compete against the best of the best.
I’d be remiss if I didn’t take this opportunity to thank the community for their support. A lot of local businesses and individuals have given both money and time to ensure our year was a success. And because of that commitment, we’ve been able to grow and accomplish much. Now, as we end this year, and look forward to the coming one, we take a moment to recognize the contributions of our sponsors and of the entire community. A complete list of our sponsors can be found on our website.
As always, as the Short-Course season approaches, I encourage any of you with children between the ages of 5-18 to consider joining Delta Aquatic Club. Whether you’re interested in competitive swimming or just wanting your child to learn the strokes and exercise, there’s a spot on our roster for you. Just contact Coach Dan’l Murray at 588.3263 should you desire more information. Or visit our website at http://www.deltaducks.org
Sincerely,
Kevin W. Cox
