The adoption fee also includes the pet's first set of shots, worming and a micro-chip installed just under the skin so that the animal can be identified if lost.
The adoption fee also consists of 30 days of free pet insurance through Shelter Care Insurance which can be extended to 45 days.
During June there were 263 animals taken in at the Shelter.
Currently, there are over 100 animals in-house which includes 33 kittens.
So there are lots of great pets to choose from.
The pictures here are just some of the animals waiting to be adopted.
The Central Delta Humane Society is helping the shelter have 5 dogs spayed and neutered that are all heartworm negative.
All 5 are between 1-2 years old.
These include:
• Colleen and Mystery — two females that appear to be lab/spaniel or lab/golden retriever mixes
• Hambone — a male hound dog that was once a hunting dog
• Pepsi — a male chocolate lab mix
• Trixie — a female that appears to be a Husky/Akita mix with beautiful blue eyes
All 5 dogs will be transported to Colorado for adoption unless they can be adopted locally before July 20.
The shelter also has several puppies that have already been spayed or neutered.
Four are a Corgi/Shepard mix and 2 are a Chow/Terrier mix.
Also at the Shelter is an Australian Shepard mix male named Beast that has 1 blue eye and 1 brown eye.
The Cleveland- Bolivar County Animal Shelter is having a yard sale on Aug. 7 starting at 8 a.m. at the Shelter.
Donations of items for the yard sale will be greatly appreciated and can be taken to the Shelter Tuesdays through Saturdays throughout July.
