A memorial service will be held Tuesday, August 5, 2014, at Linn Baptist Church in Linn at 3 p.m. with the Rev. Larry Brinker conducting the service.
Mr. Bean was born in Shaw, the oldest son of the late Hubert Eston Bean Sr. and Mrs. Mildred Kline Bean.
He is also predeceased by a brother, Charles Lemuel Bean; and his stepfather, Clyde D. Mitchell.
He was a veteran of the U.S. Army having served in Vietnam. Jim would graduate from Mississippi Delta Community College and later from Memorial Mission Hospital for Anesthesia Training. He worked in Marion County, S.C., since 1980.
Surviving are his mother, Mildred K. Mitchell of Linn; his son, Sean McLeod Bean of Marion, S.C.; daughters, Rachael Bean Anilo of Bangor, Penn., and Sara Bean Fisher of Marion, S.C.; sisters, Nell Donahoe of Indianola, Sue Moore of Carthage, Becky Powell of Byhalia, Linda Hughes of Clinton, and Terri Flanagan of Linn and Shirley Thomas of Garland, Texas; and five grandchildren.
