The outage occurred when an outside vendor hit a fiber cable and cut it.
According to Cable One Public Relations Director Patricia Niemann the company's technicians had to locate the fiber cut and repair it.
Each fiber had to be soldered back.
"Our technicians worked diligently to resolve the problem," said Niemann. "Another crew came in to assist us and that reduced the repair time in half."
"We apologize to our customers for the inconvenience which was out of our control," said Niemann. "Our aim was to get service back up as soon as possible. We will give credit to our customers for the time service was out."
Locations of cables are marked. Future outages can be avoided by being aware of where the cables are.
