Ethel Gean Triplett, 65, of Shaw died Friday, July 18, 2014, in Chicago, Ill.

Funeral service will be at 2 p.m. Saturday, July 26, 2014, at Poplar Grove M.B. Church in Shaw burial following in the Northwest Shaw Memorial Gardens. Apostle Kim Randle will officiate

Visitation will be from 2-6 p.m. Friday, July 25, 2014, at W.S. Brandon Mortuary in Cleveland and beginning at 1 p.m. until time of the service Saturday.

Survivors include her husband, Charles; children Yolanda (David) Boxley of Ford Heights, Ill., Sylvia (Lawrence) Rainey of Dallas, Texas, Grosby (Keema) Thomas, Nakia (Tonya) Triplett and Donna Thomas, all of Shaw, and Thomas (Geneva) Triplett of Southaven; brothers, Willie B. (Marie) Thomas of Memphis, Tenn., Williams (Onzell) Patty Jr. and Clyde Patty, both of Detroit, Mich., and James (Bessie) Patty of Shaw; sisters, Bertha Walls and Ella (Walter) Thomas, both of Shaw, Geneva Christian, Louise Patty, Charlene (James) Robinson and Bessie (Cecil) Scott, all of Detroit, Mich.; special cousins she was raised with, Louvina (John) Stanton of West Memphis, Ark., Willie Lee (Marshal) Grant, L.C. (Willie Ruth) Grant and Myrtis (Roosevelt) Allen, all of Shaw; sisters-in-law, Mary Hope of Indianola and Eddie Mae Triplett of Battle Creek, Mich.; 17 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; two godchildren; and Bobbie Franklin and Patricia Roach, both of Shaw.
