Former North Bolivar County Superintendent William Crockett has been hired as the deputy superintendent for the North Bolivar Consolidated School District.

Newly appointed NBCSD superintendent Johnnie Vick said he is elated to have Crockett serve as his deputy.

Crockett has 30 plus years of experience in school administration.

He has served as the federal program director, the high school principal and superintendent.

Vick feels that Crockett is a vital piece to his administrative team.

He plans to announce the rest of his administrative team later this month.

Crockett said he is proud to serve as deputy superintendent.

"Mound Bayou is my home and any way that I feel that I can help I will try to do that because I want to see the schools move forward with the smoothest transition that we can – I just feel that I can kind of help with that transition," he added.
