She was born in Merigold, Mississippi in 1921.
In childhood and to her friends and family in Mississippi, Edith was known as “Doll.” After their marriage in 1947, Edith and her husband John (Johnny) moved to Evansville, Indiana. Edith lived in Evansville until 2004. She then moved to Orlando, Florida where she lived until moving to Indigo Palms, an assisted living facility, in Maitland in 2013.
Edith is preceded in death by her parents, Ernest Clinton and Dora Mae (Leuzinger) Craddock; and siblings, T.B. Craddock, Ernest Craddock, Flora “Sister” Craddock, and Horace “Buddy” Craddock; and her husband John William Riecken.
She is survived by her son, Mark Ehren Riecken; daughter-in-law, Anne Marie (Billingsley) Riecken; and grandchildren, Karl Rafe Riecken, Kurt Henry Riecken, Kip William Riecken, and Annemarie Lillian Riecken.
Burial was at Alexander Memorial Garden with her husband of 49 years, John William Riecken. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that contributions be made to the Washington Avenue Church of Christ at 4001 Washington Ave, Evansville, Indiana 47714.
