Mississippi Highway Trooper Charles Lamb was on routine patrol Monday around 3 p.m. when he found a little more than expected after stopping a vehicle for speeding.

According to Trooper Tony Dunn, after pulling over the vehicle for exceeding the speed limit on Miss. Highway 1 in Bolivar County near the Washington County line a search of the vehicle turned up over 910 grams of marijuana and 28 grams of Spice.

Spice is a synthetic form of marijuana and more powerful.

The driver Elliott Davis, 28, and passenger Dejuan Myers, 23, both of Greenville, were arrested and charged with possession of marijuana and other illegal substances.

They were taken to the Bolivar County Regional Correction Facility.

The investigation has been turned over to the Mississippi Bureau of Narcotics along with the Mississippi Bureau of Investigations.
