The Bolivar County Volunteer Fire Department responded to a house fire in the 1300 block of Lowry Road Monday around 5:45 p.m. According to county fire coordinator Joe Phillips, firefighters fought the fire and put it out around 10:30 p.m. The home, belonging to Lee Tedford and her daughter Jessica, was burned to the ground. "We have no idea what caused it. She (Lee) said she came home and turned the heat on because they don't keep it on during the day, and started a load of clothes and then saw the fire," said Phillips.
