Edna Mae Lafayette Charleston, 65, of Greenville, formerly of Benoit, died Friday, January 3, 2014, at her home.

Funeral service will be at 11 a.m. Saturday, January 11, 2014, at Grove M.B. Church in Grapeland with the Rev. Anthony Bryant officiating. Burial will follow in Gibson Cemetery in Benoit.

Visitation will be from 1-6 p.m. Friday, January 10, 2014, at Redmon Funeral Home Chapel in Greenville and from 10-11 a.m. Saturday prior to the service.

Survivors include children Willie (Arline) Lafayette of Port St. Lucie, Fla., Dorothy Lafayette and Brenda Lafayette, both of Springfield, Mass., Vivian Lafayette of Atlanta, Ga., Steven Lafayette of North Adams, Mass., and Aaron (Rita) Lafayette of Evansville, Ind.; 24 grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; three brothers Jimmy (Doristine) Jones, O.B. Lafayette and Elijah Jones, all of Benoit; sister Mary An (Clarence) Gear of Greenville; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
