She was born on February 22, 1921, to Constantino and Amelia Ferretti. On February 12, 1945 she married Elio Cocilova in Shaw. Nora was an avid gardener and her love of flowers showed in her yard as well as her home. She also took pride in her vegetable garden that she and Elio tended every year. After moving to Bethalto, Ill., from Shaw she lived at Villa Rose Senior Living. She made many new friends there, especially the puzzle ladies, Juanita, Alice and Lydia, with whom she worked to help put puzzles together. With her sweet Southern charm and accent she acquired the title of “Miss Mississippi” by the residents.
