Donald Hugh "Don" Davis, 73, of Indianola died Wednesday, November 27, 2013, at his home.

Visitation was from 1-2 p.m. Saturday, November 30, 2013, at Eastwood Baptist Church, Indianola.

Celebration of Life services were at 2 p.m. Saturday November 30, 2013, at Eastwood Baptist Church with Grover Glenn and Jimmy Sykes officiating. Interment followed in Indianola City Cemetery.

Mr. Davis was born in Greenville on October 12, 1940, to Warren A. Davis Sr. and Jennie Lee Kern. He worked as a boiler specialist for 40 years and was retired from Ergon, Inc. He married Susan Finely Davis on June 7, 2003, in Cleveland. He was a member of the Eastwood Baptist church and enjoyed singing in the choir. He loved building and flying model airplanes.

He is preceded in death by his first wife of 36 years, Billielu Sykes Davis; son, Donald H. “Davi” Davis Jr.; and brothers, Warren A. “Sonny” Davis Jr. and Charles A. “Bunny” Davis.

Mr. Davis is survived by his wife, Susan Finely Davis of Indianola; daughter, Maleah Davis Reynolds (Barry) of Indianola; stepdaughters, Shelly Spruill Mitchell (Bobby) of Benoit and Erin Fondren Coleman (Chris) of Yazoo; seven grandchildren; and a host of much loved nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers were Cody Reynolds, Bobby Mitchell Jr., Jon Mark Stovall, Chris Coleman, Jimmy Sykes and Greg Sykes.

Honorary pallbearers were Bradley Fondren, Bailey Mitchell and Brandon Mitchell.

In honor of Mr. Davis, memorials may be made to St. Jude.
