Indianola police received a call around 4:30 a.m. that two men were burglarizing a Murphy USA gas station in Indianola.
The men had "thrown a heavy object through a window and stole cigarettes and cigars," according to Indianola Police Chief Richard O'Bannon.
The men then fled in a four door red Ford.
"The vehicle had a rag hanging down over the tag in the rear," said O'Bannon.
Indianola police pursued two men down Miss. Highway 82 West and when the men entered Bolivar County, the Bolivar County Sheriff's Department took up the pursuit.
It wasn't until Coahoma County officers put out spike strips in the road that the car was stopped.
"They deployed spike strips and the vehicle crashed. The individuals fled from the vehicles," said O'Bannon.
"Before the day was over they were in custody," said O'Bannon.
The men were apprehended and arrested by the Coahoma Sheriff's Department.
Upon arrest one of the men was identified as Torrie King, 37, of Terry.
The second man remains unnamed.
"He was not cooperative — he told them to just go put him in a cell," said O'Bannon.
King and the second unnamed man will remain in custody until an initial hearing.
