No objects to the proposed budget means the board will vote on the final 2013-2014 fiscal budget at 5:30 p.m. Tuesday at city hall.
The Ad Valorem tax will remain at 40 mills with the division as follows: 24.50 mills will go toward the general fund; 2 mills each will go to the park fund and library funds; and 11.50 mills will go to the bond and interest fund.
The budget is expected to have $20,349,155 in revenues with $22,064,205 in budgeted expenditures.
There are no increases in water, sewer or garbage rates at this time.
Budgeted items include$60,000 for new police cars; $610,506 for the North Street Drainage project funded by $439,000 in STIP funds; and $387,792 Airport Taxiway Extension project.
The bond issue of $1,405,000 that includes: $547,662 for street overlay, repairs and curb and gutter work; $325,000 for new swimming pool; $171,502 local match for North Street Drainage project; $75,000 for replacement of Bear Pen Park pier; $40,686 for building improvements to city hall; $34,500 for larger recycling containers and related equipment; $59,000 for two new dump trucks; $50,000 for ADA sidewalks and ramps; $32,650 for Sewer Treatment Plant equipment; $17,000 for repairs to Amzie Moore Park bathrooms; and $14,000 for repairs to East Side Park bathrooms.
