Bolivar Countians gathered Friday for the annual Relay For Life event, which celebrates the raising of money for the American Cancer Society. With clear weather conditions for the evening, cancer survivors started Relay by walking the first lap at the Cleveland High School track. Dozens of teams have been raising money for months and enjoyed the fruits of their labors with food, music and games. At nightfall luminaries were lit as those who have survived cancer or lost the battle were honored. A fireworks display highlighted the event.
