Cleveland Police Chief Buster Bingham reported a shooting around midnight today in the 900 block of Church Street.

Victim Chauncey Fisher, 26, of Cleveland, drove himself to Bolivar Medical Center after allegedly being shot in his right shoulder by an unknown gunman.

According to Bingham, Fredrick said an unknown male got into his vehicle just before his passenger and friend was exiting his vehicle.

The friend entered his own house and shortly after heard a gunshot outside. Upon stepping outside in response to hearing the shot, the friend saw Fredrick speeding down the road to the hospital.

"This is an ongoing investigation and as always, we are putting all of our resources into trying to figure out who is responsible," said Bingham.

"Whatever it takes we'll do it, in terms of taking action to prevent this type of behavior. These incidents will not be tolerated."
