"Come find your spark this year at the Bologna Performing Arts Center," said executive director Laura Howell at the announcement of the 2013-2014 Season of Main Stage and School-Time Matinee performances.

BPAC officials announced the 19th season on Monday revealing that this year it will be expanding from eight to nine main stage performances, with more family friendly and musical options.

"We had a great season last year and that really made a difference," said Howell.

Thus summer the BPAC will present a Summer Movie Series on Tuesday evenings. All movies will begin at 7 p.m. on the big screen in the Delta and Pine Land Theatre, with tickets being $5 and concessions available.

The BPAC will begin the regular season in September with Jim Witter's The Piano Men.

The performance will feature music by Elton John and Billy Joel.

Planters Bank and Trust is sponsoring this concert.

Following Jim Witter will be a performance by the North Mississippi Symphony Orchestra in October.

The concert will feature music from scores written by legendary film composer John Williams and video clips from the accompanying films in “A Night at the Movies.”

In November the BPAC will present MEMPHIS THE MUSICAL.

In December, the third annual A Mississippi Delta Holiday comes to the BPAC.

This production features festive seasonal favorites from talented artists and groups from across the Delta region, including the Buford Family of Glendora.

It is a family-oriented blend of the comedy and juggling skills of Gregory Popovich and talented rescue animals.

In February, the BPAC will be filled with the incredible sounds of the American Spiritual Ensemble and at end the month with the Women of Ireland.
