Bridgett was born on March 7, 1957 in Delray Beach, Fla. To Rev. Willie B. Bridgett and Claudia Jackson. He was a 1975 graduate of Broad Street High School in Shelby. He served in the United States Army until he was honorably discharged.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Claudia Jackson; and brother, Richard Williams.
He is survived by his children, Nicole Brown of D’iberville, Alisha Shantay Thomas of Cordova, Tenn., Rickey O’Brain Bridgett Jr. of Lancaster, Calif., and Kameron O’Brain Bridgett Houser of Helena, Ala.; father, Rev. Willie B. Bridgett of Shelby; stepmother, Doris Bridgett of Shelby; brothers, Willie Bridgett III and Eric Bridgett both of Shelby, Kenneth Bridgett of Ocean Springs, Houston Haywood of Winstonville, Calvin Haywood of Omaha, NE, and Michael Bridgett of Houston, TX; sisters, Towanda Jackson of Lake Worth, Fla., Valerie Ely, Loraine Jackson, and Pam Penn all of Delray Beach, Fla., Joyce Clark of Merigold, and Brenda Bean of Southaven; three grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, in-laws and friends.
