He will meet with Delta State administration and staff at 8 a.m., faculty at 8:45 a.m., students at 9:30 a.m. and campus and community members at 10:15 a.m.
All the meetings will take place in the auditorium at E.R. Jobe Hall.
7A press conference will be held at 1 p.m. in the Leroy E. Morganti Atrium in Kent Wyatt Hall.
While all sessions are open to the public, each session focuses on the needs of a specific constituency group.
The sessions give both the groups and LaForge an opportunity to get to know each other.
IHL announced LaForge, a 1972 DSU graduate, as their preferred candidate for Delta State on Friday.
The announcement is not an official appointment, but rather, recognition that LaForge is the leading contender to replace Dr. John Hilpert, DSU's seventh president, who announced he would retire on Dec. 31, 2012.
After Thursday’s visit, IHL will either name LaForge president or continue the search in the event he is not seen as the best fit.
