Holiday closings

Thursday marks the official start of the 2012 holiday season, as Delta families will gather for joyous Thanksgiving celebrations.

The Bolivar Commercial will be closed on Thursday in observance of the holiday and will resume regular business hours on Friday.

All federal government offices will be closed. Normal business hours will resume Friday.

Beulah Town Hall will close at noon on Wednesday. Normal business hours will resume Nov. 26.

Boyle Town Hall will close at 10 a.m. on Wednesday. Normal business hours will resume Nov. 26.

Shelby City Hall will be closed for Thanksgiving and resume normal business hours on Friday.

Cleveland City Hall, Gunnison Town Hall, Merigold Town Hall, Mound Bayou City Hall, Pace Town Hall, Renova Town Hall, Rosedale City Hall, Ruleville City Hall, Shaw City Hall and Winstonville Town Hall will all be closed on Thanksgiving and Friday. Normal business hours will resume on Nov. 26.

As of press time, officials at Drew City Hall were unsure if their offices would be closed on Friday.

No answer has been received from Benoit Town Hall as to whether or not they will be closed on Friday.

Bank of Benoit will be closed on Thanksgiving. They will be open from 9 a.m. to noon on Friday.

Bank of Bolivar County will close at noon on Wednesday. Normal business hours will resume on Friday.

Jefferson Bank will be closed for Thanksgiving. They will be open from 8 a.m.-2 p.m. on Friday.

Cleveland State Bank, Guaranty Bank and Trust, Regions, Planters Bank and Trust, M&F Bank, Southern Bancorp and State Bank and Trust will all be closed for Thanksgiving. Regular business hours will resume on Friday.

Resourceful Environmental Services Inc. will operate regular trash removal on Monday.
