Late Thursday afternoon, after being found guilty of sexual battery of a female juvenile under the age of 14, Antonio Craig was sentenced by Smith to serve 30 years in custody of the Mississippi Department of Corrections.
In the court's decision, only 15 percent of the total sentence can be shortened for good behavior.
On Friday, Smith accepted seven guilty pleas.
Sebastin Lee, 29, of 100 Laura Brown St. Apt. 6A in Cleveland, pled guilty to the charge of possession of cocaine.
While Lee's sentencing will come at a later date, according to his plea the maximum sentence he can receive is 16 years and a $250,000 fine. The minimum sentence he can receive is four years.
Bernard McAdory, 40, of 1209 Anderson St. in Clarksdale, entered a guilty plea to six counts of felony bad checks. According to the plea agreement, he was handed down a sentence of time served, two years of post-release supervision and $500 restitution fee.
Timothy Scribner, 33, of 354 Old Ruleville Road in Cleveland, pled guilty as a habitual offender to one count of auto burglary, one count of burglary of a building and one count of possession of methamphetamine.
According to his agreement his sentence will be seven years in custody of the Mississippi Department of Corrections on for count one, five years in custody of the MDOC to run consecutively and two years of post-release supervision on count two, and two years in custody of the MDOC to run consecutively with the previous sentences, a $1,000 fine and three years of post-release supervision.
Willie O. Brown, 31, of 826 Aloe St. in Cleveland, pled guilty to one count of possession of cocaine, one count of possession of hydrocodone/acetametaphine, one count of possession of alprazolam, and one count of possession of codeine.
His sentencing was postponed to a later date.
Frank Hudson Jr., 48, of 108 Main St. in Gunnison, pled guilty to one count of felony DUI by refusal and one count of felony DUI.
His sentencing will come at a later date.
Marcel Croft, 21, of 304 Martin Luther King in Winstonville, pled guilty to one count of receiving stolen property.
His plea stems from an incident that occurred on May 12 where he was found in possession of numerous items belonging to the Bolivar County Sheriff's Department.
A sentencing date has not been set.
Ronald "Ronnie" Tatum, 33, of 145 Prewitt Rd. in Cleveland, pled guilty to one possession of methamphetamine and one count of possession of diazepam.
A sentencing date has yet to be set.
Derrick Johnson was taken into custody for violating his post release supervision from a previous conviction of an auto burglary that occurred at 1307 Lake St. in Shelby on Feb. 24, 2010.
According to the court documents, his parole was violated for the following reasons: he was arrested on Oct. 13 by the Shelby Police Department and charged with resisting arrest, failure to comply and an assault on a law enforcement official; he tested positive for cocaine and marijuana on Oct. 15 and cocaine on Sept. 13; he failed to report to his probation officer for October; and he failed to pay $385 in supervision fees and $755 in court costs.
