"All money raised from this event will stay local," said Michelle Johansen, Office Manager for Habitat for Humanity.
Funds from the luncheon will help fund the initial start up cost of one of the upcoming homes to be built by Habitat for Humanity.
Habitat for Humanity is in it's twenty-fifth year in Cleveland, and has recently helped a family secure a mortgage on the organization's twenty-first home.
"We help families secure affordable housing in the Delta," said Johansen.
A family is selected for a Habitat home based on their need for affordable housing and their willingness and ability to commit financially to a mortgage.
According to Lee Aylward President of the Board of Directors for Habitat for Humanity, after being selected, members of the family must commit 300 sweat-equity hours to the construction of their home.
Recently, two families have paid off their mortgage for the home they secured through Habitat.
