Cleveland native and 2007 East Side honor graduate, Cordero Davis was recently crowned Mr. West Virginia State University for the 2012-13 school year.

Davis is the son of Tony and Mitzi Davis-Hunter of Cleveland and the oldest sibling to Imani Burns and Kenan Davis.

The 23-year-old majors in Mass Communication with a focus in Government Social Services.

He is an active member of Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity Inc., Tau Chapter. He is one of the founding members of the Psi Gamma chapter of Alpha Kappa Psi, which is the oldest and largest professional business fraternity.

In addition, he is an active member of the NAACP (National Association for the Advancement of Colored People), President of the Public Relations Student Society of America, NYANSA Community Service Organization, a Michael & Susan Dell Scholar, a member of the WVCC Student Advisory Board and a Thurgood Marshall Ambassador.

Davis is a member of St. Paul M.B. Church in Cleveland under the leadership of Pastor Fredrick Ford, Sr.

He is also a former employee of Walgreens under the management of Mr. Andre Harris.
