Ashley Alice Shivers became the bride of Murat Gur at 6 p.m. on Saturday, Aug. 4 2012 during a ceremony at Bentley's on the Bay in Santa Rosa Beach, Fla.

The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Jeffrey Shivers of Cleveland.

She is the granddaughter of Mr. and Mrs. Rodney Shivers Sr. of Merigold, Mrs. Thomas Morlino of Leland and the late Mr. Tommy Morlino.

The groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Ihsan Gur of Izmir, Turkey.

He is the grandson of Mrs. Fatma Boz and the late Mr. Kadir Boz and Mrs. Mubetcel Gur and the late Mr. Mehmet Gur all of Izmir, Turkey.

Rev. J. Michael Bryan performed the double-ring ceremony.

Nuptial music was provided by a solo guitarist.

The bride was given in marriage by her father, Jeffrey Shivers.

Maid of honor was Tiffany Wilson Blaine of Cleveland.

Honorary bridesmaids were Valerie Rocconi Thomas, Celeste Wolfe Lofton, Hope Biles Richard, Melanie Rocconi Reed and Cathy Carr Howarth of Cleveland, Christy Kovach Nettles of Madison, Wendy Kovach Lee of Flowood, Raegan Meeks Hackett of Durango, Colo., Holly Lynn Radicioni of Brandon.

Junior honorary bridesmaid was Erin Watts Herbison of Cleveland.

Flower girl was Avery Carter Howarth, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. William A. Howarth of Cleveland.

Best man was Ihsan Gur, father of the groom.

Brad Shivers, brother of the bride, provided a reading of the scripture I Corinthians 13.

Following the ceremony, guests enjoyed a cocktail hour with hors d' oeuvre.

The outdoor reception was held on the deck of Bentley's on the Bay.

In lieu of a traditional guestbook, the guests were asked to sign a picture sketched and painted by Cetin Oguz.

The bride is a cardiovascular ultrasonographer.

The groom is the User Services Manager for Ellucian at Delta State University.

The couple will reside in Cleveland.
