Lewis S. "Mule" Booker, 62, of Memphis, formerly of Mound Bayou, died Wednesday, October 3, 2012 at Regional Medical Center in Memphis, Tenn.

Funeral service will be 11 a.m., Saturday, October 13, 2012, at First Baptist Church in Mound Bayou with Pastor Melvin Jones of Memphis, Tenn., officiating. Burial will follow in Delta Heights Cemetery in Cleveland under the direction of T.L. Redmon Funeral Home.

Visitation will be from 1-5 p.m., Friday, October 12, 2012, at the funeral home.

Survivors include: sons, Micheal Harris of Cleveland, Micheal Council of Cape Girardeau, Mo., and Eric Council of Atlanta, Ga.; daughters, Kea Strickland and Sonia Monique Fields, both of Mound Bayou, and Ebony Marshall of Merigold; brothers, Frank Hamlin Jr., Carl Hamlin and Arthur Bell, all of Chicago, Ill., Ladon Pritchett and Bobbie Booker, both of Mound Bayou; sisters, Venus and Shirley Loffman of Cleveland, Annie Henry of Mound Bayou, Georgia Ford of Memphis, Tenn., Beverly Prescott of Jacksonville, Fla., Pamela Hamlin and Deloris Walker both of Chicago, Ill.; 12 grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
