Visitation will be held from 5-7 p.m. on Monday, October 8, 2012, at Meredith-Nowell Funeral Home in Clarksdale.
Funeral services will begin at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, October 9, 2012, at Meredith-Nowell Funeral Home in Clarksdale with burial to follow in the Memorial Gardens Cemetery.
Meredith-Nowell Funeral Home in Clarksdale, MS is handling all the arrangements.
Sissy loved animals, and helping disabled Vets. She was a former union steward for the USPO. She was a member of Lyon Baptist Church.
She is survived by two daughters, Diann Meredith York (Ken), of Clarksdale, and Janice Meredith Scaife (Donny) of Camden, Ark.; two sons, David Meredith (Rena) of Cleveland, and Tim Cagle of Clarksdale; three brothers, Gene and Joel Williams both of Clarksdale, and Billy Williams of Pascagoula; 14 grandchildren; and 13 great grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by husbands Benjamin "Tutt" Meredith and William "Bill" Cagle; daughter, Laura Cagle Allen; and parents, Parker and Margaret Shaffer Williams.
