U.S. Highway 61 one-car accident
The Bolivar County Sheriff's Department and the Mississippi Highway Patrol were called to the scene of a one-car accident on U.S. Highway 61 on Thursday near the Bolivar/Washington county lines. According to witnesses at the scene the vehicle rolled several times before coming to rest in a field beside the northbound lane. A Pafford EMS helicopter landed on the southbound lanes of the highway and transported a passenger in the car to the Regional Medical Center in Memphis directly from the scene.
