Detectives from the Cleveland Police Department are working diligently to identify a man who robbed a woman at gunpoint Friday evening at an ATM machine just off of Chrisman Avenue in Cleveland.

According to Detective George Serio, the call came into the CPD dispatcher at approximately 7:26 p.m.

"A female bank customer was in her vehicle making a withdrawal at an ATM machine when a tall, black mall approached her brandishing a gun," said Serio. "The man fled the scene after taking $60 cash from the victim."

After taking the woman's money, the suspect fled on foot.

Fortunately for authorities, the suspect was caught on the ATM's surveillance camera.

"The subject was wearing a white T-shirt, blue jeans and two red bandanas," said Serio. "One bandana was coving the subject's head and the other was covering his face."

The camera also picked up glimpses of a black handgun.

While no arrests have been made in the case, the department is performing an extensive investigation.

Anyone with information on this, or any other, crime is encouraged to call the Cleveland Police Department at 843-3611, the Bolivar County Sheriff's Department at 843-5378, or the Cleveland-Bolivar County chapter of CrimeStoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS.
