David James Sr., 66, of Rosedale died Wednesday, September 12, 2012, at Baptist Hospital in Jackson.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, September 22, 2012, at Changing Your World Ministries in Rosedale. Burial will follow at St. Paul Cemetery in Wrights Crossing with the Reverend Andrew Williams officiating.

Visitation will be from 4-6 p.m. Friday, September 21, 2012, at Redmon Funeral Home Chapel in Rosedale and at the church from 10-11 a.m. on Saturday, September 22, 2012.

He was the road manager for Bolivar County.

He is preceded in death by his father and mother, L.V. and Essie James; sister, Georgia Mae Jones; and brothers, L.T., Sammie, Jesse, and C.W. James.

He is survived by his wife, Earnestine James of Rosedale; children, Barbara (Barney) Flore of Waxhaw, David (Andrea) James Jr. of Rosedale, JoeAnn (Michael) Scott of Marietta, Ga., and Alexander James of Rosedale; grandchildren, Latoya (Jamal) Almond of Marietta, Ga., Courtney Flore of Waxhaw, David James III of Starkville, Ryan Flore of Oxford, Barni Lee Flore of Waxhaw, Zachary Bonner of Senatobia and Winter Scott of Marietta, Ga.; great-grandchild, Kayden Love of Waxhaw; brother, Jeffery (Dynetta) James of Sacramento, Calif., father and mother-in-law, Sam and Jerlean Kelly of Myrtle Beach, S.C.; brothers-in-law, Henry (Shema) Kelly of Myrtle Beach, S.C., Robert and Earl Walker of West Helena, Ark., and Charles (Mary) Kelly of Chicago, Ill.; sisters-in-law, Thelma (Edward) Kinnard of Rena Laura, Earline and Barbara Ruth Walker of West Helena, Ester (Arenzie) Smith of West Helena, Everlena James of Little Rock, Ark., and Lois Hulitt of Jackson; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, and friends.
