She was born in Doddsville on October 23, 1934.
Sue graduated from Sunflower Agricultural High School and Sunflower Junior College, both in Moorhead and the University of Houston.
Sue was employed by various private and public sector organizations in Mississippi and Texas and worked for USAID in Thailand, Panama and Laos. She resided with her family in Honduras and Peru.
She was pre-deceased by her parents Will Alvis and Hazel (Oswalt) Crouch and her sister Willie Mae Westbrook.
She is survived by her husband Dick Owens; her daughter Karen (Keith) Lannom of McCall, Idaho; grandson Bryce Lannom; nephew and nieces, other relatives and in-laws plus many friends.
Sue will be cremated and her ashes scattered by her family.
