Noon — Lions Club will meet at the Cleveland Country Club.

2-8 p.m. — As part of the 123rd Founder’s Day Celebration, a Children’s Day will be held at the Mound Bayou Community Swimming Pool. Wristband is $5. Hot dogs, drinks, popcorn and cotton candy will be available.

6 p.m. — Closed AA and Al-Anon meeting at 400 N. Sharpe, Cleveland (non-smoking)

7:30 p.m. — Closed NA meeting at First Methodist Church, 318 S. Court, Cleveland.

Saturday

8 a.m. — The Cleveland Farmer’s Market will be open.

9 a.m. – The Delta Woodturners will meet at Quality Steel.

3 p.m. — Closed NA meeting at Yale Street Baptist Church, Cleveland.

7 p.m. — Closed AA meeting at 400 N. Sharpe Ave.

7 p.m. — The Mound Bayou Mayor’s Award Black Tie Banquet, part of the 123rd Founder’s Day Celebration will be held at the community facility building in the main ballroom. Tickets are $15.

7:30 p.m. — Closed NA meeting will be at First Methodist Church, 318 S. Court, Cleveland.

Sunday

8:30 a.m. — Closed AA meeting at 400 N. Sharpe Ave.

3 p.m. — A Community Picnic will be held at the old railroad track in Mound Bayou. Bring your favorite foods, grill and lawn chairs as part of the 123rd Founder’s Day Celebration.

8 a.m.-noon — ABE/GED classes will be held at the Cleveland Employment Office.

6 p.m. — Graveside services will be held beginning at Mound Bayou City Hall.

6:30 p.m. — Open NA meeting, Step Study, Yale Street Baptist Church.

7-9 p.m. — The 123rd Mound Bayou Founder’s Day Program will be held at First Baptist Church.

7:30 p.m. — Closed AA meeting at Renova Town Hall (non-smoking).

8 p.m. — NA meeting will be held in the Fellowship Hall of the United Methodist Church in Rosedale.

Tuesday

9-11:30 a.m. — GED classes for beginners are being offered at St. Gabriel’s Mercy Center, Mound Bayou.

Noon-2 p.m. — GED classes for advance students are offered at St. Gabriel’s Mercy Center, Mound Bayou.

6 p.m. — The Tuesday Night Pickers will play at The Bridge, located on Sharpe Avenue, downtown Cleveland. The public is invited to attend.

7 p.m. — Open AA/Al-Anon meeting at 400 N. Sharpe Ave.

7 p.m. — Winstonville Health Community Initiative will hold an Alcohol and other drug awareness meeting for teens and parents at the Winstonville Clara E. Williams Community Center. Refreshments will be served.

All items should pertain to meetings and events which are open to the public. We do not run church briefs, sports events, or invitations to private parties. Items will be run on a space available basis.
