Wesley Lee Brown, 78, of Rosedale died on Wednesday, October 9, 2013, at the Allegiance Specialty Hospital in Greenville.

Visitation will be held Friday, October 11, 2013, from 6-8 p.m. at Cleveland Funeral Home in Cleveland.

Graveside Funeral Services will be held Saturday, October 12, 2013, at 11 a.m. at Beulah Cemetery in Beulah. Reverend Allen Robinson will officiate the service.

Wesley was born on July 26, 1935, to Lowell and Ruth (Green) Brown in Colt, Ark. He grew up in Rosedale and married Mae Belle Land on October 9, 1954, in Waukegan, Ill. He was a retired Sr. Master Sergeant with the United States Air Force. Wesley had served in three branches of the military, Army, Navy and Air Force. He was a Korean War and Vietnam War veteran. He traveled to many foreign countries while in the military. After 25 years with the military he retired and became a riverboat pilot for Channel Fueling Service. He lived most of his life in Rosedale. Mr. Brown was a member of the First Baptist Church of Rosedale.

Mr. Brown died on he and his wife’s 59th wedding anniversary.

He was preceded in death by sisters and brothers Ella Hainline, Lester Brown, J.G. Brown and Eva Spencer.

He is survived by his wife of 59 years, Mae Brown of Cleveland and son, Wesley Eugene Brown of Batesville, Ark.
