Funeral service was at 2 p.m. Tuesday, August 5, 2014, at Smith Funeral Home in Greenville with Rev. James Bykes officiating. Burial will be in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens in Greenville.
Visitation was from 6-8 p.m. Monday, August 4, 2014, at Smith Funeral Home in Greenville.
Thomas was born July 14, 1944, to Calvin and Thelma Mullins in Cleveland where he attended grade school. He was an auto mechanic for his own business, Custom Auto Service,” and before retiring he worked for A&A Home Health. He was ordained on November 23, 1980, as the deacon of the South Side Baptist Church in Greenville. He was a good honest family man who loved his mother, wife, daughter and his “Heavy Duty Cutie” with all his heart.
He is preceded in death by his father, Calvin Thomas Mullins Sr.; and a brother, Charles Melvin Mullins.
He is survived by his mother, Thelma West of Greenville; his wife of 50 years, Dorothy Mullins of Greenville; daughter, Angela Marie Manus and her husband Louis of Greenville; brother Jeff Mullins of Cleveland; sisters, Mary Jane Ervin and her husband Fred of Cleveland, Sue McCaleb and her husband Mac of Gallatin, Tenn.; sister-in-law Kaye Mullins of Fla.; two granddaughters, Shelby Faye Manus of Petal and his special “Heavy Duty Cutie” granddaughter, Lily Marie Manus of Greenville; as well as many special friends and church family.
