Some places closed for President’s Day

In observance of President’s Day, many local banks as well as local state and federal buildings will be closed on Monday.

Banks that will be closed include Bank of Benoit, Bank of Bolivar County, Cleveland State Banks, Jefferson Bank, Guaranty Bank & Trust, Regions Bank, Planters Bank & Trust, Renasant Bank, Southern Bancorp, and State Bank & Trust.

Various city halls will be closed: Drew Town Hall, Duncan Town Hall, Gunnison Town Hall, Mound Bayou Town Hall, Pace Town Hall, Rosedale Town Hall, Ruleville Town Hall, and Shaw Town Hall.

Boyle Town Hall, Cleveland Town Hall, Merigold Town Hall, and Shelby Town Hall will remain open on Monday.

Alligator Town Hall, Benoit Town Hall, Beulah Town Hall, and Renova Town Hall could not be reached.

The United States Postal service will not deliver on Monday in observance of the holiday.

Garbage pick-up will still run its regularly scheduled pick-up on Monday.

Public Schools will remain open for the holiday as well as Delta State University. The Bolivar Commercial will be open.
