SO investigates morning death

At approximately midnight today the Bolivar County Sheriff’s Department responded to a 911 call related to a subject being shot.

When deputies arrived on the scene, the victim had already been transported by personal vehicle to Bolivar Medical Center.

According to a report from the sheriff’s office, the victim Colby McCline, 27, of 1002 Newsome St. in Cleveland, suffered from a single shot wound to the chest and was pronounced dead at the hospital.

McCline’s body has been sent to the Mississippi Crime Lab for autopsy.

No arrests were made at the time of incident.

The case is still under investigation.
