Reno Borgognoni, 86, a retired farmer, died Wednesday, June 19, 2013, at his home.

Visitation is Friday, June 21, 2013, 5-7 p.m. at St. Elizabeth Catholic Church in Clarksdale with Prayer Service at 7 p.m.

Funeral services are at 10 a.m. Saturday June 22, 2013, at St. Elizabeth Catholic Church in Clarksdale with burial in the Oakridge Cemetery. Meredith-Nowell Funeral Home in Clarksdale is handling the arrangements.

Mr. Borgognoni was a graduate of Friars Point High School. He was in the United States Army, where he served in WWII. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus 4th Degree, the American Legion and VFW. He was a member and former usher of St. Elizabeth Catholic Church.

Survivors include: wife of 62 1/2 years Lillian Sbravati Borgognoni of Clarksdale; two sons, Reno Mark Borgognoni (Donna) of Lawrenceville, Ga., and Jerry Alan Borgognoni (Jamie) of Cleveland; three daughters, Deborah B. Barfield (Danny) of Cleveland; Brenda B. Robinson (Mike) of Clarksdale and Cynthia “Cindy” B. Cocilova (Doug) of Shaw; brother Paul D. Borgognoni; two sisters, Rosa B. Bates and Dora B. Curcio, all of Clarksdale; 11 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.

He is preceded in death by parents Roger and Maria Ciuccoli Borgognoni.

Memorials may be sent to St. Elizabeth Catholic Church or St. Elizabeth Catholic School.
