CHS Girls 45, Grenada 32

The Cleveland High School Lady Wildcats won their sixth in a row by defeating the Grenada High School Lady Chargers

Cleveland improved to 17-11. Cleveland will be the No. 3 seed heading into the Region 3-4A Basketball Tournament.

“We’ve continued to get better as we’ve gone a long,” Cleveland High head coach Jenny McCullough said. “We’re feeling confident. My players are feeling confident about what we’re doing. I feel good about where we are right about now.”

Taylor Collins scored 13 points with nine rebounds, and McKinnon Skeen scored 13 points with six rebounds to lead the Lady Wildcats, followed by Katelyn Thompson with 10 points.

East Side Girls 50, Leflore Co. 41

The East Side Trojanettes picked up another win against the Leflore County Lady Tigers in Region 3-3A action Friday night.

East Side improved to 18-6 and finished the regular season with a 9-1 mark in the region. East Side will be the No. 1 seed heading into the Region 3-3A Tournament.

Carvacier Sanders led the Trojanettes with 18 points and seven rebounds, followed by Keisha Cotton with 14 points and six rebounds.

JFK Girls 64, Greenwood 50

The John F. Kennedy Lady Hornets finished the regular season in fine form by defeating the Greenwood High School Lady Bulldogs in Greenwood Friday evening.

JFK finished the regular season at 24-0 with a perfect 12-0 mark in the region. JFK will be the No. 1 seed heading into the Region 3-1A Tournament.

West Bolivar Girls 62, Leland 55

The West Bolivar High School Lady Eagles defeated the Leland High School Lady Cubs Friday night in Region 3-2A action in Rosedale.

West Bolivar improved to 12-14 with a 7-3 mark in the region. The Lady Eagles will be a No. 2 seed heading into the Region 3-2A Tournament in Leland this week.

Rachael Hudson led the Lady Eagles with 23 points, six rebounds and five steals, followed by Ashley Cooper with 12 points and nine rebounds and Jermelia Silas with eight points and nine rebounds.

Ruleville Girls 65, O’Bannon 38

The Ruleville Central Lady Tigers cruised past the O’Bannon Lady Greenwave in Region 3-3A Friday night in Greenville.

Ruleville improved to 17-8 with an 8-2 mark in the region. The Lady Tigers will enter the Region 3-3A Tournament as the No. 2 seed.

Tatianna Collins led the Lady Tigers with 17 points, seven rebounds and five steals, followed by Shakira Singleton with 14 points, Valencia DeJesus with 12 points and Robrieka Finn with eight points.

East Side Boys 56, Leflore Co. 40

The East Side Trojans earned a decisive win over the Leflore County Tigers in Region 3-3A action Friday night.

East Side improved to 20-5 with an 8-2 mark in the region. East Side will be a No. 2 seed heading into the Region 3-3A Tournament.

Charles Jackson led the Trojans with 14 points, followed by Perry Henry with 12 points and John Paul Davis with 10 points and 11 rebounds.

Grenada Boys 64, Cleveland 44

The Cleveland High Wildcats fell to 4-21 Friday with a loss to Grenada at the Margaret Wade Gymnasium Friday night.

Ellis Townsend led the Wildcats with 13 points and 10 rebounds, followed by Chris Rodgers with nine points and Antario Miller and Malik Hooker with six points each.

Cleveland will be a No. 4 seed heading into the Region 3-4A Tournament at Yazoo County High School.
