Clarksdale Girls 41, West Bolivar 36

The West Bolivar Lady Eagles battled hard but came up a little short against the Clarksdale High School Lady Wildcats Tuesday evening in Clarksdale.

West Bolivar fell to 3-8. Jermelia Silas scored 17 points with eight rebounds and three steals to lead the Lady Eagles, followed by Jakerria Drummer with 10 points and 13 rebounds, Rachel Hudson with five assists and Ashley Cooper with six points, four rebounds and four steal.

West Bolivar will host Clarksdale on Friday.

Clarksdale Boys 52, West Bolivar 48

The Clarksdale Wildcats slid by the West Bolivar High School Eagles Tuesday night in Clarksdale.

West Bolivar fell to 5-6. Deguadereck Rice scored 12 points to lead the Eagles, followed by Ladarius Tucker with 11 points and Larry Walker with 10 points.

West Bolivar will host Clarksdale on Friday.

JFK Girls 56, Broad Street 36

The John F. Kennedy Lady Hornets (8-0) were able to put some things together in the second half Tuesday against the Broad Street Lady Jaguars after trailing 17-15 at halftime.

Frederica Haywood put the Lady Hornets on her back as she scored 31 points, 24 of those points came in the second half in route to a 20-point JFK win.

Ieysha Mays scored 12 and Latina Jones chipped in with seven.

Tonneisha Bell led Broad Street with 15 points and Katherine Dumas scored nine points.

Broad Street will play Aggie at 5 p.m. tonight at home in the NCAC Tournament. JFK will be in action at 7 p.m. Thursday in Shelby at the NCAC.

NCAC Tournament

The North Central Athletic Conference Tournament will be held tonight-Friday at Broad Street High School.

Tonight at 5 p.m. Broad Street Girls will play Coahoma Aggie and at 6:30 p.m. JFK Boys will play Ruleville. Admission is $5.

On Thursday at 4 p.m. East Side Girls vs. Ruleville; 5:30 p.m. East Side Boys vs. JFK or Ruleville winner; 7 p.m. JFK Girls vs. BSH or Aggie winner; 8:30 p.m. BSH Boys vs. Aggie. Admission is $7.

On Friday the championship girls game will start at 6 p.m. and the championship boys game is at 7:30 p.m. Admission is $5.
