Mrs. Robbie H. Abel, 98, of Cleveland passed away Friday, Oct. 26, 2012 at Bolivar Medical Long Term Care.

Visitation will be from 2-3 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 28, 2012 at Ray Funeral Home. Celebration of life services will immediately follow beginning at 3 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 28, 2012 at Ray Funeral Home with Rev. Jimmy Breland and Rev. John Thomas officiating. Interment will be in Delta Heights Memorial Gardens Cemetery.

Mrs. Abel was born in Skene on Aug. 31, 1914, to Bob Allen Howard, Sr. and Katie Ragland Howard. On January 6, 1932, she married Ernest Frank “Buck” Abel, Sr.

She loved music and showed her talent often by playing piano and organ. She was the pianist for church for many years and also taught piano. Mrs. Abel was the past president of Kings Daughters and was a member of the First Baptist Church.

She is survived by her daughter, Barbara Kinard of Hernando, Miss.; son, Ernest F. Abel of Cleveland; sister, Kate Vorhies of Cleveland; 4 grandchildren, 5 great-grandchildren and 4 great-great-grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be Timmy Kinard, Tommy Kinard, Jr., Bobby Stanford, Gale Roark, William Avritt and Larry Harkins. Honorary pallbearers will be Randy Howarth and Lonnie Sims.

In memory of Mrs. Abel, memorials can be made to First Baptist Church in Cleveland, Morrison Chapel Baptist Church Building Fund, and/or Parkway Baptist Church in Hernando, Miss.
