Tyrone D. Miller II is the son of Reverend Tyrone D. Miller,Sr. of Shelby, and Marie Lesueur Miller of Holly Springs, paternal grandson of the late John Miller Jr. and Resi Lei Miller of Shelby, maternal grandson of M.T. Lesueur and Nellie Lee Lesueur of Holly Springs.
Tyrone D. Miller II is a 2010 graduate of Holly Springs High School and a 2012 graduate of North West Community College in Senatobia.
He is presently stationed at Fort Linwood in Missouri.
Army Pfc. Xavier T. Green was part of a U.S. Army Pacific task force that participated in training near Sendi, Japan with the Japanese Ground Self Defense Force.
The training was part of an annual bilateral exercise between American and Japanese forces called Yama Sakura.
The exercise focuses on the development and refinement of the JGSDF and U.S. Army Pacific by exchanging ideas, tactics, techniques and experiences while building new and lasting friendships. It is one of the foundations of U.S. and Japanese defense cooperation, and is U.S. Army Pacific's premier bi-lateral command post exercise.
Both forces serve a support role to civil governments and agencies and must be able to work efficiently with organizations that may have dissimilar operating habits or procedures.
Green is a cable systems installers maintainer assigned to the 78th Signal Battalion, 287th Signal Company at Camp Zama, Japan. The private first class has served in the military for two years.
He is the son of Vicki and Willie Murray of Tunica.
Green graduated in 2009 from Cleveland High School.
