As I reflect on my career in education, I am deeply appreciative for having had the opportunity to serve in the North Bolivar School District for 35 plus years. As a product of this district and having assumed the top leadership role as superintendent, I am honored to have been an integral part of leading the district from priority status to successful status in accordance with the Mississippi Department of Education standards. For the 2009-2010 school year, a QDI of 143 was achieved by the district which was a 12 point increase form the previous year’s test score ratings. This QDI of 143 brought the district from academic watch to successful and ranked it in the top percent of the districts in the Mississippi Delta. Also under my administration for the 2010-2011 school year, the QDI increased to 145 for the district. According to federal and state guidelines, the district was in good standing, with no violations, at the end of my tenure as superintendent in June 2011.
I am truly grateful for the opportunity extended to me to contribute my services to the North Bolivar School District.
