The Cleveland-Bolivar County Chamber of Commerce is getting ready for the holidays with scheduled events and Team Cleveland/Main Street has announced the events that will take place in downtown Cleveland during this year's holiday season.

On Saturday children lined up to have their pictures taken with Santa Claus himself and give them their gift wish lists. Karagin Arbuckle and Landon Williams sat in Santa’s lap while other children played under the Christmas trees before going to see Santa themselves. Team Cleveland/ Main Street will have other events each Thursday and Saturday of the month until Dec. 21.

On Dec. 5 the Christmas parade will come through downtown Cleveland at 5:30 p.m.

On Dec. 7 residents will be able to decorate a large tree downtown with homemade bird friendly ornaments at the downtown gazebo from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. The cost is free.
