First week's cases issued

The preliminary court docket for week one of 2012 fall session of the Bolivar County Circuit Court 2nd Judicial District Circuit Court has been released by the Bolivar County Circuit Clerk Marilyn Kelly.

The cases will be presided over by the honorable Judge Albert B. "Al" Smith III. The session is slated to begin on Nov. 5.

Antonio Craig has been indicted and will appear on charges of sexual battery of a female under the age of 14. The incident in question took place on June 10, 2010.

Jimmie Griffin III was indicted and will appear on one count of possession of stolen property stemming from an incident that occurred on March 14, 2010, where he was accused of being in possession of a 2008 Suzuki GSX 750 belonging to Royal Newman III.

Antonio and Leroy Henry have been indicted and will appear on charges of armed robbery and possession of a firearm by a convicted felon (Antonio), stemming from an incident that occurred on June 18, 2012, where a U.S. Government check made payable to Quincy Taylor was reported stolen.

James Taylor has been indicted and will appear on charges of burglary of a business in connection with an incident that occurred on April 27, 2012, at the Quick Stop shop on U.S. Highway 61 in Shaw.

Zacharius James and Samantha Jackson were indicted and will appear on charges of perjury. The charges stem from the murder trial of Rundell James in the death of Zelphia Ivory. The indictment lists the denial that the door in the home was noisy; the denying of knowledge of problems that Rundell James had with Zelphia Ivory and the denial that Zelphia Ivory identified Rundell James as the person who burned her.

Bernard McAdory will go before the court on charges of felony bad checks stemming back to 2005.

Ralph Cain will appear before the court on charges of auto burglary stemming from an incident that occurred on June 12, 2011, at 516 N. Bayou Ave.

Shawn Palmer was indicted and will appear on charges of possession of a stolen firearm stemming from a Feb. 29, 2012, incident where he was allegedly in possession of a firearm stolen from Wal-Mart.

Samuel Earl McClay will appear on charges of simple assault on a law enforcement officer stemming from a Feb. 24, 2012, incident involving officer Youlandar Harris.

John Drainie will appear before the court on charges of felony D.U.I stemming from his arrest on June 26, 2012. He was also indicted as a habitual offender from previous D.U.I. charges on July 3 and Oct. 11 of 2011.

Lucas Edwards, Demetrius Earvin and Lazerrick Howard were indicted and will appear on charges of felony shoplifting stemming from an incident that occurred on May 15, 2012, where miscellaneous items were stolen from the Cleveland Wal-Mart.

Wayne Todd Jones was indicted and will appear on charges of aggravated assault stemming from an incident where he allegedly attacked Joan Jackson with a deadly weapon on Nov. 16, 2010.

Katherine Sanders will appear on charges of a felony bad check written to Kroger of Cleveland on Aug. 10, 2002.

Beatrice Tigue will appear on charges of a felony bad check written to Argo Distribution on the account of Tigue Farms in the amount of $2,700 for fertilizer delivered on March 12, 2004.

David Marshall will appear on charges of auto theft stemming from an incident that occurred on Dec. 2, 2008, where a brown GMC Yukon XL SUV was taken from Kossmans' of Cleveland. He was also indicted as a habitual offender.

David Morris will appear on charges of felony shoplifting stemming from an incident that occurred at Vowell's Marketplace on July 18, 2010.

Larry X. Roberts was indicted and will appear on charges of possession of marijuana with intent to distribute and possession of a firearm by a convicted felon stemming from an incident that occurred on July 7, 2010.

Timothy Scribner is scheduled to appear on charges of possession of methamphetamine stemming from an incident that occurred on May 5, 2012. He was also indicted as a habitual offender.

Ross Dye will appear on charges of possession of codeine and possession of marijuana stemming from his arrest on June 19, 2012.

Willie O. Brown will appear on charges of possession of cocaine, possession of hydrocodone, possession of alprazolam and possession of codeine stemming from his arrest on June 5, 2012. He was also indicted as a habitual offender.

Sebastin Lee was indicted and will appear on charges of possession of cocaine stemming from his arrest on June 14, 2012.

Criminal complaints and affidavits of probable cause are not evidence of guilt in a criminal case. Defendants are entitled to legal representation and have the right to question the witnesses and evidence presented against them during preliminary hearings in the district court and at trials in the county court.
