Approximately 15 vendors from Mississippi, Louisiana, Arkansas, and other states will have different booths set up to showcase various farm toy equipment.
“There will be toy tractors, trucks, construction equipment … really, a wide array of things to see,” said Blake Andrews, coordinator of the event. “There will also be some things set up solely for display.”
Andrews explained that the point of the show is to broaden the market for farm toys in the Delta area.
“It might not be as big here but up north collecting farm toys is a hobby for many people,” said Andrews. “There are a few people around Cleveland and the surrounding area that collect and I’d like to get more people interested in that.”
Andrews believes it will not only be a good opportunity for the vendors to show off their work but also for young kids to find a new hobby.
“The different vendors, some of them, make everything from scratch,” said Andrews. “I want everyone to see what these people can do.
“I associate farming and agriculture with the Delta and I’d like to show kids that aspect … you know, get them away from the video games and show them something interesting.”
The Bayou Academy Patrons League will be selling food and refreshments both Friday and Saturday.
