Evelyn was born in Lambert to Frank and Effie Johnson. She was a member of First Apostolic Church in Smackover, Ark., moving to Smackover after retiring from Kroger in Cleveland, after many years of faithful service as a dairy clerk.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Frank and Effie Johnson; and grandson-in-law, Thomas A. Butler.
Ms. Muirhead is survived by two daughters: Nancy Smith (Lonnie) of Smackover, Ark., and Carolyn Zeigler (JR) of Cleveland; four grandchildren: Elaine Butler of Smackover, Ark., Angela Donovan (Dennis) of El Dorado, Ark., Renee Tomek (Matthew) of Memphis, Tenn., and Mason Zeigler of Cleveland; two great-grandchildren: Laura Butler of Smackover, Ark., and Kathryn Butler of Smackover, Ark.; six siblings: John “Buddy” Johnson of Cleveland, Robert Johnson of Leland, Emma Lynchard of Lillian, AL, James “JP” Johnson of Greenville, William “Cooter” Johnson of Hollandale, and Pat Daniels of Hanover, Mich.
Funeral services will be 10 a.m. Tuesday, September 24, 2013, at First Apostolic Church in Smackover with Rev. Steve Gearin, Rev. Dwight Barber and Rev. Ed Hall officiating.
Interment will follow at 4 p.m. at the North Cleveland Cemetery in under the direction of Young’s Funeral Directors and Ray Funeral Home of Cleveland.
Pallbearers will be Charles Smith, Dennis Donovan, Matthew Tomek, Pete Johnson, Floyd Arbuckle Sr., and JR Zeigler.
Honorary Pallbearers are Johnnie Powell and Randy Mills.
Visitation will be from 5-8 p.m., Monday, September 23, 2013, at Young’s Funeral Directors in El Dorado, AR.
