Eddie Bryson Jr., 98, of Shaw died Monday, February 10, 2014, at his home.

Funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday, February 16, 2014, Mt. Zion Missionary Baptist Church in Choctaw with Pastor Melvin Walker officiating. Burial will follow in Mt. Zion M.B. Church in Choctaw.

Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m. Saturday at Redmon Funeral Home in Cleveland and at 1 p.m. Sunday prior to the service.

Mr. Bryson was born on February 8, 1916, in Shaw to the late Eddie Bryson Sr. and Edna Earl Bland Bryson. He married Ruby Lee Williams in 1938 and six children were born to the union.

He lived in Shaw and the surrounding community all of his life. He was a farmer who continued in his trade until last year. He was also well loved and respected in the community and served as a deacon at Mt. Zion until his health failed him.

He is preceded in death by daughter, Justine Bryson; son-in-law, Floyd Williams; and a daughter-in-law, Francis Bryson.

He is survived by his wife Ruby; sisters, Lavella Dean and Edna Burtin; daughters, Edna Ellis (Larscie), Mary B. Davison (Lelon), Lessye Williams; and sons, Eddie III (Bobbie) and Walter; and sisters-in-law, Ella Williams and Nettie Williams; brother-in-law, Herman Williams.
