The Cleveland-Bolivar County Chamber of Commerce has been working with the merchants of the downtown shopping area to organize an event welcoming the participants of Teach For America to the city.

“This Saturday, 13 downtown merchants will be extending their store’s hours to accommodate the busy schedules of the people visiting our city through the Teach For America program,” said Anne Dilworth for the chamber. “These visitors have so little free time while they are here and we hope that this is a way that they can come downtown and unwind a bit.

Chris Hartfield will provide the live entertainment from 4-6 p.m. at the gazebo and refreshments will be served at some locations.

The following stores will be participating in the extended hours Ad-Venture Frames, Christina’s (inside Heidi’s), Clark’s Jewelry, Ella Rose Fabrics, Heidi’s, Hometown Gifts and Jewelry, Kamiens, Merle Norman, Nancy’s Hallmark, Neysa’s, Punkin Patch, Timily’s Fabrics, Willow 166 and the Wishing Well.

These stores will open at 10 a.m. and extend there business hours until 5:30 p.m.
